The Father and Son Are One

Many people, even Christians have trouble understanding the trinity as far as how can Jesus be the Son of God and also....God. Well, let me ask you this question, is your mother human? If she is and hope she is, then that would make you human as well, because you came from the very essence of the humanity of your mother. Jesus came from God, the very essence of who God is, Jesus came from it, therefore Jesus shares in God's deity. Jesus shares in God's deity as much as you share in your mother's humanity...get it? God is not a single person, but three distinct individuals who share the same title, deity and essence of what makes God..God. For example, when people say Man landed on the moon, you know that you yourself didn't actually walk on the moon, but Man is meaning the human race, humanity, everyone in the world shares. Another example is looking at a pond, lake and river. They are all made up of H2O, they all are made up of that same essence but they are in three distinct bodies. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all distinct individuals with different roles but they are all God. I hoped I gave you a better understanding of Jesus being God and also of the trinity itself.

Waiting on God

Alot of times we pray to God for something, and when He doesn't give it to us, we begin to think that He didn't answer us and we become angry. We have to understand that God hears our prayers ALWAYS. Second, God always wants to bless us, but we may not be spiritually mature enough to handle that blessing that he wants to give us, so He waits until the right time when he knows we are ready. When we don't get what we ask for right away, we think that God is moving to slow in our lives, when in reality we are just trying to move to fast. We have to be patient and wait on the Lord. He is always on time because only He knows when the right time has come. Just like we patiently wait for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to come back, we must also wait on God's blessings.

That Special Someone

I know this is a very common problem for young chrisitans today. We tend to try to search for that one special person that God has for us. Sometimes we even have an idea of how that person is suppose to be, so we search and search looking for those qualities that we assume God wants in our companion, but even when we do find someone with those qualities, they still end up not being the one we hoped for. Why does this happen? I to have had this problem, plenty of times!..Look at it like this, In the book of Genesis, God let Adam search through the animals and name them, trying to find a good helper, companion for himself, but he never found them. Of course God knew that Adam wasn't going to find a suitable helper in these animals, so why did God have Adam go and search? He wanted to show Adam that a suitable companion and helper for himself, he could never find. It will have to be given to him, by God. It's the same way with us. We constantly search for our life time companion, instead of letting God send them to us, otherwise we will get so tired of searching that we will eventually end up settling, which we shouldn't do at all. We have to wait on God to send us that one who is flesh of your flesh and bone of your bone. A person like that you can't seek and find. A person like that has to be given to you and the only person who can give it to you is God. We can't have this picture of what our partner is suppose to be or look like. It's up to God to choose who he wants for us. Take Adam, when he saw Eve, he embraced her, saying "this is flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone." He didn't care how curvy she was or how pretty she looked. He loved her unconditionally because he knew she was from God, specifically for him. That's how we should embrace whoever God has in store for us.

Sexual Purity

Now I know this topic can be a lil uncomfortable to talk about but it's also a very important one
to discuss as well. When we think of sexual purity, most of us give in to defeat mentally at just the thought of it. Thinking that it's something impossible to achieve this. But is it really impossible or do you just not want to do it?I use to be the same way before I came to Christ. I was a very sexual person, even though I may have not have done it often,I had plenty of thoughts on the subject and was very curious. I thought this task of sexual purity couldn't be achieved because everyone i knew thought the same thing. It was unknown for a young man or woman to deprive themselves sexually. I grew up thinking it was normal to have sex in your teens, that it was part of being a teen. I can even go as far as to say that it was almost as if I was obligated to have sex. Soon after I started reading the word,I found out that all that was a lie!...Think of sex as fire..when fire is contained in a fireplace then it is perfectly safe, but when its on your living room floor,it can spread to something horrifying. It's the same way with sex, sex in marriage is safe and even more enjoyable because God made it to be that way,but when you take it out of marriage then it's spreads and leaves you with regrets and scars. "Food for the stomach and the stomach for the food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."- 1 Corinthians 6:13. So from this scripture we know that our bodies was not meant for sexual immorality, so therefore it is possible to overcome it. In the bible, God talks about standing firm against sin of all types but when it comes to sexual immorality, He says to FLEE!( 1 Corinthians 6:18). Why does He say to flee you may be wondering? God knows how we work, He knows that we were formed from dust, I mean after all,He is the one who made us! So He knows what its going to take for us to succeed in this type of purity.Whatever is causing us to fall into sexual sin,we must flee from it...hands down. Now I'm not saying its going to be easy but saying it is possible. Sexual purity is a process that in the end will have you coming out victorious and righteous in God's sight.

Verse of the day

Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. - Romans 15:2
